No amount of preparation is going to save you from said stress nukes, crits, multiple misses in a turn even when you had a fairly high chance to hit, The Collector showing up at the worst times (no, the collector isn't a terribly difficult enemy, but his heads *can* nuke someone down if they feel like it), ect. And frankly, all this "Darkest Dungeon isn't hard" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just feels like gaslighting.
